In a small clearing surrounded by tall trees, there was always a lot of activity. This was where a group of busy bees lived, each with their own job. Buzz, a young bee, was especially good at finding the best flowers.
"Buzz, look at those daisies!" said his friend Zip. "They’re full of pollen!"
Buzz flew over quickly. "This will make our honey taste even better!"
Not far away, in a part of the forest full of berry bushes, lived a curious bear named Bruno. Bruno loved to explore and was always looking for something tasty.
One sunny morning, Bruno smelled a sweet scent in the air. Following the smell, he found the bees’ hive.
"What’s this?" Bruno wondered, looking at the hive hanging from a tree branch.
"Hey, that’s our home!" Zip buzzed around Bruno’s head. "You shouldn’t be here!"
Bruno smiled. "But it smells so good! Just a little taste?"
Buzz flew closer. "It’s not for bears! Bees make the honey!"
Bruno reached up and touched the hive. The bees became upset and started buzzing around him.
"Ouch!" Bruno said, feeling the sharp stings. He stepped back and rubbed his nose. "Why did you sting me?"
Buzz and Zip flew in front of Bruno, their tiny wings moving quickly. "Our honey is very special to us. It comes from many flowers," Buzz said.
Bruno looked sad. "I just wanted to try some. I didn’t mean to upset you."
Zip’s tone softened. "We work hard for our honey. It’s more than just food; it’s part of our home."
Bruno nodded, understanding. "I’m sorry. I didn’t realize your home was so important."
Buzz smiled. "Exactly! Sharing should be a choice, not something taken."
Bruno thought about this all day. From then on, he respected the bees’ hard work. The bees sometimes shared their honey when they had extra.
Bruno learned that respecting others' hard work can lead to kindness and new friendships.
