The sun was shining brightly over the farm. The sky was blue, and the birds chirped happily. Mr. Sam, the farmer, was busy fixing the fence. His little dog, Spot, ran around barking cheerfully.

Suddenly, a loud “Hee-haw!” came from the well. Spot and Mr. Sam turned around. They saw a donkey stuck at the bottom of the well. It was a donkey with brown fur named Benny.

“Oh no! Benny fell into the well,” Mr. Sam exclaimed. “We need to get him out!”

Mr. Sam grabbed a shovel and walked to the well. He peered inside and saw Benny looking up with sad eyes. “I’m so sorry, Benny. I don’t know how this happened.”

Benny looked up at Mr. Sam and brayed softly, “Help me, please!”

Mr. Sam thought for a moment. “I don’t think I can pull you out, Benny. Maybe I’ll just bury you here.”

Benny’s eyes widened in surprise. “Bury me? But I don’t want to be buried alive!”

Spot barked anxiously, sensing the danger. Mr. Sam started shoveling dirt into the well. Benny began to feel the dirt piling up around him.

As the dirt reached his hooves, Benny shook his body vigorously. “I have to try to escape!” he thought. He shook his head, his legs, and his tail, sending dirt flying out of the well.

With every shake, Benny created a little space. “I won’t give up!” he brayed, shaking harder. Spot barked louder, encouraging Benny. “Go on, Benny! You can do it!”

Little by little, the dirt piled up at the bottom of the well, making a kind of staircase. Benny climbed up the dirt pile, step by step. His legs were getting tired, but he kept going.

Mr. Sam looked down into the well and saw the dirt piling up. “What’s going on?” he wondered. Suddenly, he saw Benny’s head poking out of the well.

Benny climbed out of the well and stood on the ground, covered in dirt but smiling. “I made it!” Benny brayed happily.

Mr. Sam stared in amazement. “Benny, you did it! I didn’t think you could escape.”

Spot wagged his tail and barked happily. “Good job, Benny!”

Benny shook off the remaining dirt and looked at Mr. Sam. “Thank you for not giving up on me, Mr. Sam.”

Mr. Sam nodded and smiled. “I should have helped you instead of thinking of burying you. I’m glad you didn’t give up.”

From that day on, Mr. Sam, Benny, and Spot became even closer friends. They worked together on the farm, helping each other and sharing happy moments. Benny’s bravery and determination taught Mr. Sam a valuable lesson.

Sometimes, when things seem tough, it’s important to keep trying. And sometimes, even when it looks like there’s no way out, you can find a way if you just keep going.

Lesson: No matter how hard things get, never give up. There is always a way to overcome challenges if you keep trying.
