In a busy part of the forest, there was a little stream where animals liked to meet. Betty the Butterfly and Randy the Rabbit were often there, talking about their day.
Nearby, a young lamb named Lily was eating grass. She was new and loved listening to the other animals. One day, Lily went to drink water but found it dirty. She was confused.
Just then, Lou the Wolf came up and asked loudly, "Why are you making the water dirty? I drink from here too!"
Lily was surprised and said, "I just got here, Mr. Lou. I didn’t do anything."
Lou didn't believe her and said, "You must have done something! You need to fix this."
Betty flew over and said, "But Lou, she’s downstream. She can't make the water dirty for you."
Lou tried to argue, "Well, she must have magic then!"
Lily calmly replied, "I don’t have any magic. Maybe something else made the water dirty?"
Randy jumped in and said, "I saw deer upstream earlier. They were playing in the water."
Lou realized he might be wrong. He had wanted to scare Lily away to get more space for himself.
Lily then suggested, "Why don’t we all work together to keep the water clean?"
Lou thought about it and agreed. From then on, they all took care of the stream together. Lou learned that being strong doesn’t mean you have to be mean, and Lily learned that even quiet voices can make a big difference.
Lesson: Truth and courage can solve problems and bring peace, even when facing challenges. Working together makes us stronger.
