The Lion’s Big Bite
00:00 / 03:00

In the middle of a lush, green forest, where the sun danced through the leaves, a group of animals gathered every day to play and share stories. Among them were Ellie the Elephant, Zippy the Zebra, and Gerry the Giraffe.

"Who's coming to the river today?" chirped Zippy, always eager for a splash.

"I am!" trumpeted Ellie with a smile. "I heard there might be sweet fruits along the way!"

Gerry, munching on some leaves, nodded. "I'll join. Maybe we’ll find more treats!"

As the friends made their way to the river, they stumbled upon a fresh feast, a large fruit pie, left at the edge of a clearing. Surprised and delighted, they wondered who could have left such a treat.

"Let’s eat!" Zippy exclaimed, but Ellie suggested, "Shouldn't we find out who it belongs to first?"

While they debated, a mighty roar echoed through the forest. It was Leo the Lion, the strongest animal in the forest. "Welcome, friends!" he boomed, approaching the pie. "I see you’ve found the feast I prepared."

"Wow, Leo! Did you make this?" asked Gerry, impressed.

"Not exactly," Leo chuckled. "But I found it, and I’m happy to share it with all of you."

The animals gathered around, and Leo cut the pie. However, he took the largest piece for himself, leaving smaller slices for the others. Zippy, Ellie, and Gerry exchanged glances but said nothing, not wanting to upset Leo.

As they ate, a small rabbit named Ruby hopped over. "Hello! I see you found the pie I baked for my grandmother's birthday. It must have fallen off my cart."

The animals were stunned. Leo looked at Ruby, then at the pie, his face showing a hint of shame.

"Leo," Ellie said gently, "maybe we should give Ruby her pie back. It’s for a special occasion."

Leo pondered, the pie almost finished in his paws. "You're right, Ellie. Ruby, I apologize for taking over your pie. Let me make it up to you."

With a grand gesture, Leo led Ruby to a nearby berry bush. "Let’s pick fresh berries, and I'll help you make a new pie. One bigger than before!"

Ruby smiled, her eyes brightening. "That would be wonderful, Leo! Thank you!"

Together, the animals helped Ruby collect berries, chatting and laughing. They learned that sharing true happiness comes not from taking the biggest piece but from making sure everyone has enough to smile about.

As the sun set, painting the sky with colors of joy, the animals enjoyed a new pie, this time truly shared by all, their hearts as full as their bellies.

"And that," Leo declared, "is how every feast should be—enjoyed together, with no one left behind."

The children listening to the story learned that true strength lies in kindness and that sharing brings the greatest joy.
