Lily is tinkering with a rusty old gadget in her garage. She’s got a wrench in one hand and a screwdriver in the other. “This old thing might be worth fixing,” she says with a smile. Her friend, Jake, is watching curiously.

“Do you really think it can be fixed?” Jake asks, peering over her shoulder.

“We won’t know until we try!” Lily replies. She continues to twist screws and check wires.

Just then, a new face appears at the garage door. It’s Robot X-23, a shiny, advanced robot who looks very out of place. “What is this place?” Robot X-23 asks in a mechanical voice.

Lily and Jake freeze. “You can talk!” Jake exclaims. “Who are you?”

“I am Robot X-23,” the robot responds. “I was lost and damaged. I need help.”

Jake and Lily exchange excited looks. “Let’s fix him!” Jake says.

Together, they work on Robot X-23. They replace wires, clean parts, and adjust circuits. After a few hours, Robot X-23 is back in working order. “Thank you,” Robot X-23 says. “Now, I can show you something amazing.”

“What’s that?” Lily asks, eyes wide with curiosity.

“Follow me,” Robot X-23 says. The robot leads them outside and presses a hidden button on its chest. Suddenly, a portal opens in the air.

“Whoa!” Jake and Lily shout. They step through the portal, holding their breaths.

On the other side, they find themselves in a dazzling, futuristic city with flying cars and glowing buildings. “This is incredible!” Jake says, looking around in awe.

“We’ve never seen anything like this!” Lily adds, grinning.

Robot X-23 explains, “This is the future, where I come from. I got lost during a mission.”

As they explore the city, they come across a tall tower. “We need to reach the top,” Robot X-23 says. “There’s something important there.”

Jake and Lily follow, but suddenly, the ground shakes. “What’s happening?” Lily asks, holding onto Jake’s arm.

“A malfunction!” Robot X-23 says urgently. “We need to move quickly!”

They hurry inside the tower. The walls are lined with strange, glowing panels. “What are these?” Jake wonders.

“They are power conduits,” Robot X-23 explains. “They control the entire city.”

The tower starts to wobble. “We need to fix the control panel!” Robot X-23 says.

Lily spots a panel on the wall. “I think I can help!” she says, rushing over to it.

Jake grabs tools from Robot X-23’s compartment and hands them to Lily. “Be careful!” he warns.

Lily works quickly, fixing wires and adjusting circuits. “Almost done!”
