The Magic Door and the Upside Down World
00:00 / 06:21

“Yaar, kya yeh sach mein ho raha hai?” Samir muttered, rubbing his eyes in disbelief.

It was just another regular afternoon. Samir, like every other teenager, was glued to his phone, scrolling through memes and chatting with friends about his favorite game. His room smelled like pizza, the leftover slice sitting on his desk next to his half-drunk cola. A typical 15-year-old's sanctuary, where nothing extraordinary ever happened... or so he thought.

Then it happened.

A glowing door appeared right in the middle of his room.

“Uh, what the heck?!” Samir gasped, nearly falling off his chair. He blinked twice, but the door was still there—glowing like something out of one of those weird fantasy shows his mom wouldn’t let him watch. He stepped closer, cautiously. "Kya yeh koi prank hai?"

The door was shimmering with colors that didn’t exist in the real world. There was no handle, just a soft hum coming from it, almost like it was... calling him. Samir hesitated for a second, his heart pounding in his chest. But curiosity, or maybe just the boredom of his usual day, pushed him forward.

And then, Samir did something no one in their right mind would do: He opened the door.

For a moment, the world seemed to shift. Suddenly, his room wasn’t his room anymore. He was in... a different place. A place where the sky was purple, trees had their roots in the air, and people—yes, actual people—were walking on what should have been the sky.

“Yeh kya hai? Kahan hoon main?” Samir muttered, his voice shaking. His phone had disappeared, and he was standing on a patch of floating grass. Floating grass!

Out of nowhere, a person with blue skin and green hair appeared beside him, grinning ear to ear. “New here, huh?” the stranger said. Samir blinked and stared.

“Are you—are you a mutant or something?” Samir asked, trying to make sense of what was happening. The stranger laughed.

“Mutant? Nah, bro, I’m just from this world. Welcome to the Upside Down World, where everything’s... well, upside down!”

“Upside down?!” Samir could feel his brain frying. “What does that even mean?”

The stranger—whose name, Samir would later learn, was Zara—pointed at a building across the street. Instead of a normal, upright building, it was completely upside down, floating in mid-air. It was as if gravity had thrown a tantrum and decided to ignore everything.

“I told you,” Zara grinned, “this is a world where gravity’s on vacation! The ground’s on top, the sky’s beneath, and the rules? They don’t make sense.”

“Yeh sab ek dream toh nahi hai, right?” Samir asked, still not sure if he was hallucinating.

“Nah, bro. You’re wide awake. Trust me, if you weren’t, you’d be floating in mid-air, screaming for your life!” Zara said, looking genuinely amused.

Samir shook his head. “Okay, so what do I do here?”

“Simple. Survive. Or... maybe have fun. Depends on how adventurous you are!” Zara winked and, before Samir could react, she pulled him into a flying car. Yes, flying.

As they zoomed through the upside-down streets, Samir felt a mix of awe and terror. People were casually hanging from trees, chilling on the roofs of upside-down cars. A bunch of kids were playing cricket on what looked like a giant, floating table. Instead of bats, they were using—get this—electronic fans to hit the ball. Samir’s jaw dropped.

“Bro, what is this?” he asked Zara, still trying to process the madness around him.

“This? Just a regular game of ‘Fly-court Cricket’!” Zara laughed. “You should try it. But remember, the rules here are a little... bent.”

Samir blinked. “Bent? What do you mean by that?”

“Well, the ball’s usually the one hitting you,” she said with a grin. “That’s why the players wear helmets.” Zara grabbed a random helmet from the car, tossed it at Samir, and laughed when he awkwardly put it on.

But before Samir could ask more questions, a strange sound came from above. A giant bird—upside down, of course—was flying towards them with its mouth wide open.

“Zara! That bird’s gonna eat us!” Samir screamed.

“Don’t worry!” Zara yelled, pressing a button in the car. “We’re going upside down too!” The car flipped over like a stunt from an action movie.

The bird zoomed past them, and Samir could only stare, mouth agape. “Okay, now this is insane. I can’t deal with this.”

Zara laughed. “It’s not so bad once you get used to it. Just remember, Samir, nothing here follows the rules you know. So relax and enjoy the ride. Who knows? You might actually want to stay.”

But Samir was already starting to like it. The thrill, the chaos—it was like living in one of his wildest dreams. It didn’t make sense, but somehow, everything fit.

And just when Samir thought he was getting the hang of things, Zara pointed to a new door that appeared out of nowhere.

"Time to go back to your world, bro. But hey, don't forget, the door’s always open."

Samir looked at Zara, feeling a strange connection. "Will I come back?"

Zara winked. "When you’re ready, the magic will find you. Until then, enjoy your world... but know this: Everything is upside down if you look at it right."

Samir stepped back through the door, back into his room, where everything looked normal again. But something inside him had changed. He smiled to himself, knowing he’d never look at the world the same way again.

And as for the magic door? Well, let’s just say it might be waiting for Samir again. When the time is right.
